Enrolment is currently open for this course – it commences Wednesday 15th January 2020, 10am -12 noon, and runs for 10 weeks. More info here.
This is a course for anyone who has a book currently in them that they’d prefer to see sitting in a bookshop. What are the components that make a novel unputdownable? How can you ensure that your readers are enthralled? Looking at all genres of contemporary full-length fiction, this course will take you on a step by step journey right through the novel-writing process, including creation of characters, plots and sub plots, and the uses of dialogue, hooks and cliffhangers, as well as offering guidance in the all-important art of attracting an agent and/or publisher. If you are committed to writing that book you have in you, prepare to be challenged and inspired.

Can’t get to Cardiff?
No problem…
My two step-by-step writing guides, NOVEL and Telling Tales, are both out now as ebooks. Based on my Cardiff University courses of roughly the same name they are designed for anyone who has a burning desire to write and would like some common sense nuts-and-bolts guidance.
