Wild About Harry is Bedfordshire Book of the Year 2006
And the winner was.....Me!! Those of you who visit this site on a regular basis (yes, you there!) will know that I have been somewhat excited since finding out - via Google; every writer's best friend - that Wild About Harry had made the shortlist for the Bedfordshire Book of the Year Award. And, what do you know? I actually WON it! Never won anything before. I've been shortlisted, short-shortlisted, commended, highly commended and even got a second place in a comp a few years back, but not actually won anything ever - not since a packet of Caran D-Ache felt tips back in 67. So you can imagine how thrilled I am.
Better still, got over a third of all the votes and a really quite splendid review too. Good people of Bedfordshire - I love you xxxxx
Anyway, back to the page...
You know you’ve arrived when you’ve got a pseudonym.
Quite where you’ve arrived is another matter, and possibly a subject for a whole other website, but yes, I have one. And great fun it is too. Daisy, who came into being in order to find me a whole new readership is, of course, my fabulously talented and rather gorgeous alter ego. No space for an author photo, sadly, but I urge you to imagine. She’s naturally much younger and more glamorous than I am, and attends author signings in sheepskin and Chanel. Despite her busy schedule, she’s a working girl too, and found time to write Wild About Harry. Go to My Novels if you’d like to read more.
Incidentally, Wild About Harry is now also published in Large Print format (see Shop), and also as an audio book; both widely available in libraries.
‘A lovely tale of bereavement and tender understanding, lightly handled in a charming, flowing and witty style’ Sarah Broadhurst
‘Funny, touching, stylish and perceptive’ Jill Mansell
‘Terrific’ Bella Magazine
'Perfect reading now the evenings have turned cold and dark...'Written with flair and spark, Jordan brings major and minor characters to life with a bang, taking us on a fast paced journey with twists and turns and dealing with a heart breaking subject'. Don't let the pastel pink cover fool you. Not your typical chick lit adventure... Bedfordshire Libraries
